The ATS M9 (Improved) SOF Medical Pack is 2" deeper than the famous M9 Medical Pack is was modeled after. This extra depth allows it to carry more of everything (including full IV bags) and allows an additional column of PALS webbing on the sides. This extra PALS webbing vastly increases the variety of MOLLE pouches that can be attached to the pack.
The face of the M9I has a 9" drag handle and 5 columns x 3 rows of PALS webbing. A 6" x 4" patch of soft (loop) velcro allows attaching patches or GLINT tape. The back features mesh for storing the shoulder straps and to improve air flow when worn as a backpack. Compression straps on the bottom of the pack create a convenient carrying location for a pole-less litter.
The inside of the pack features four removable mesh pockets for supply storage. The bottom of this compartment is zippered to allow access to the IV bag pocket (that you can also access from the outside of the pack!).
The lid (on the side facing the inside) is lined with a small expandable mesh pocket as well as an 8" x 12" flat zippered pocket. A Velcro face over this pocket has a removable modular instrument panel. There is another zippered mesh pocket at the bottom of the lid.
The top of the pack, on the outside, has an 8" carry/drag handle.
