The Esstac Laminate 5.56 Single KYWI Pouch is made to fit STANAG magazines for AR15 style rfles.
This open top magazine pouch gives secure retention without need for a flap or shock cord closure.
This pouch is made with laser cut laminated Cordura nylon. It is lightweight and the fused nylon will experience much less fraying (because of the laser cutting) but the trade off for this minimalist lightweight constrution is edges that are not quite as strong as traditional consuction.
Your magazines are held securely in this pouch using a special Kydex Wedge Insert (KYWI) that is held inside the individual pocket with velcro. Pressure on the mag holds it mag tightly but when you grab and pull; the mags slides easy while the insert stays in the pocket. This configuration combines the retention benefits of kydex cases with secure attachment of nylon MOLLE pouches.
This pouch attaches to MOLLE webbing with your choice of MALICE Clips, WTFix Straps, or Blade-Tech MOLLE-Lok. You can also use this as a belt pouch by using the Esstac KYWI Belt Loops.
