The FirstSpear Strandhögg V2 SAPI Plate Carrier is easily tailored for comfort, ventilation, and fit. It can be worn with or without an optional soft armor plate backer (depending on your ballistic requirements, threat conditions, and the type of hard armor plate you have).
The Strandhögg uses the Overlap Cummerbund that provides additional overlapping soft armor at the front side of the plate carrier where the Tubes closure system meets. The additional soft armor tucks in behind the Tubes allowing full opening and closing of the vest (soft armor inserts for the cummerbund are optional and sold seperately).

Maximizing the lightweight 6/12 technology and rapid closure systems provided by the Tubes, the Strandhögg Plate Carrier can be rapidly donned or doffed. On the exterior of the front panel, rear panel, and cummerbund; a field of 6/12 allows for easy pocket attachment.

The FirstSpear 6/12™ technology eliminates the webbing and stitching components of traditional modular load bearing designs. The 6/12 platform will work with any MOLLE pockets (just like any other laser-cut MOLLE), but the 6/12 pouches will only mount to 6/12 Platform. The 6/12™ Pocket Attachment System uses state of the art fabric technologies to deliver a completely modular system. This system achieves a 20%-40% reduction in weight per standard Assaulter configuration when compared to traditional MOLLE pockets.
