The Mayflower UW GEN V Split-Front Chest Rig features a center zipper closure. An additional strap closure over the zipper simplifies wearing the chest rig over “puffy” winter clothing or for ventilation in hot weather environments.
The UW Gen 5 is a multi-purpose chest rig capable of carrying 5.56, 7.62x51, 7.62x39, MP7, or 9mm magazines by using a system of easily changed inserts.
The chest rig features two radio/general purpose pouches that will accommodate several types of radios including (but not limited to) PRC-148, PRC-152, and Motorola 5000; as well as several types of mini SAT antennas and Blue Force Trackers. The pouch also fits a purpose built medical insert (included).
The front of the magazine pouches features three general-purpose pouches and one pistol magazine/GP pouch.
The UW Chest Rig Split Front Gen V includes the inserts needed for carrying 5.56 magazines, 7.62x51 magazines, 7.62x39 magazines, Blow-Out Medical Pouch, and a zipper closed Pocket Top.
The full weight of the kit (including all of the inserts) is only 1.98 lbs.
All buckles are ITW-Nexus. All hook and loop material used is color matching Velcro® Brand Fasteners. All materials and workmanship are 100% made in the USA.
