The Spiritus Systems Side Armor Bags a modular design that allows the user to wear hard armor side plates on thier plate carrier. Optionally, they are also part of a system (when used in conjunction with the Side Armor Bag Caps™) that allows the user to wear soft armor; or both hard and soft armor at the same time. OTB products will dry faster after exiting the water and will drain water faster and more efficiently as well. The mesh also makes the products simple to clean using fresh water after conducting operations in salt environments.
These OTB bags allow you to wear hard armor on your sides, attached to your plate carrier's MOLLE cummerbund.
The side armor bags have an offset MOLLE configuration. This design allows the user to wear their side plates as far forward on the cummerbund as possible. Wearing your side armor farther forward closes the gap in protection between your side plates and your front plate. The side plate and the front plate will be touching.
Side Armor Bags are compatible with MOLLE Cummerbunds only. They will not work with elastic cummerbunds.
Plate Fitment
The Side Armor Bags are built with stretch materials to accommodate 6 x 6 inch hard armor plates up to 1 inch thick in a stand alone configuration.
The use of soft armor inserts requires the addition of the Side Armor Bag Caps™ which can accommodate 5" x 7" to 5"x 14" rectangular soft armor inserts.
